Our picnic was held at the beautiful home of Steve and Hannah Franklin. As we arrived we were greeted by one of Steve's beautiful rose gardens (top left). Inside the food preparation was carried out while others looked over the items to be auctioned. Some found their way to the area around the swimming pool, while others enjoyed watching arrival of food for the tables. Bertie Slagle was treated to a cake celebrating her 90th birthday. Everyone enjoyed singing "Happy Birthday." The food was delicious and we ate inside due to the hot day. Fortuately, the Franlin's had several rooms set for eating. Bottom left, the Steve and Hannah graciously accepted our thanks for providing a great place for our picnic. Finally, the annual auction of rose related items was enjoyed by all due to the excellent "auctioneering" by Al Robinson. If you missed this picnic, you missed a great meal and loads of fun.
