Welcome to our website! The Tennessee Rose Society is a nonprofit organization, serving East Tennessee, comprised of people who are interested in promoting the following objectives: (1) improving the members knowledge of rose culture; (2) promoting the general public's interest in growing roses; and (3) cooperating with the American Rose Society in it's effort to improve the quality and culture of the rose.
We meet the first Thursday of each month, with a social period from 6:30 to 7:00pm, and our program starts promptly at 7:00pm. We have a "Rose Workshop" prior to each meeting, beginning at 6:00 pm (see Meetings).
Note that there is no July meeting. Meetings will resume in August at our regular location.
Please note that our regular meetings are in a new location at the Baptist Association of Knox County, 7709 Westland, Knoxville, TN 37919. See Map/Location for a detailed map.
Make your plans now to attend the Tenarky District Convention and Rose Show in Memphis, September 24-26, 2010. There will be a Horticulture Judging School on Sunday, September 26. If you want to be a judge, you need to attend this school. This is also a great opportunity for anyone to learn what the judges are looking for in an exhibit. It will make you a better exhibitor. If you are currently a judge, this is a chance to extend your active status by auditing the school. Go to http://www.tenarky.org for more information.
Please check out our site, and we hope you'll be interested enough to join us soon. For more information call one of the consulting rosarians listed on the Consulting Rosarians page.
